Cathrin's world

Drop me a line!

Thodock scares...!

June, 22nd 1965...
A beautiful summer day, with the sun shining from a clear blue sky...
...that turned out to be kind of a special day too, as I finally gave up

Baby-Thodock

struggling to delay delivery as much as I could. 2 weeks due, my mother got the last word, the earth quivered, animals fled, and I saw the daylight for the first time. My mother and father named me Lene Cathrin - in Norway I use both names, but when speaking English I only use Cathrin.
Btw - I turned 29 for the 10th time June '03... but then again; Who's counting?
;o)

My favorite saying is:
"Life it much to short not to ……."   and mine sure is! :-)

I live in Tønsberg, a cozy little town – about 100 km (62 miles) south of Oslo, on the coast of the Oslo-fjord. Tønsberg is the place that always will be home in my heart!
(Actually, I say the same about several places that I have visited)

Dreamcar: Fiat X-1/9 Berhone

One of my favorites - 1982 Fiat X1/9 Berthone

I'm back in Tønsberg - after 2,5 years in Asia and 3 years in Copenhagen...
where I got "bitten" by a crazy Italian... that I tried to bring it with me back to Norway - but Norwegian customs clearance taxed it "to death" (and me as well) and thereby killing my all time favorite Italian. :o(

I'm on the move again, planning to stay a couple of years in Australia - and I wouldn't be surprised if I pretty quickly ended up with a new one, or similar type - just love it!

Since I started working, I have worked as a secretary, receptionist, accountant, broker, dive master, coordinator, sales manager, department manager and managing director - in various companies, in Norway and abroad.

I really enjoy working, (Life is much to short not to!) and to me it is important to constantly develop - both personally and professionally.

I've finally figured out what to do when (if?) I grow up, so studying International Relations is my next project - starting September '03.

My main interests in life are people/cultures, traveling, scuba diving, outdoor activities, reading, music, and German Shepherds.

Unfortunately it hasn't been possible for me to have a dog for some time now. I've had many, and I will again – as soon as I find time for it. In the mean time, my sisters dog, Anders the Puppy, stays with me from time to time. I love totally spoiling him, but that's natural - isn't it...?

I also enjoy swimming, biking, bungy jumping, water skiing, cross country skiing and downhill skiing.

Scuba diving and traveling is what I love the most, but after I bought my apartment I haven't had neither time nor money to go anywhere. This is about to change now... yeeehaaawww! ;o)
