Especially beautiful are the majestic mountain peaks, glaciers, broad plateaus, fjords and waterfalls in the western part of the country. A perfect setting for breathtaking experiences. Some viewpoints will require that you walk a little first, but the reward is well worth the effort.
Where the countryside shows signs of settling, you will find many interesting cultural landscapes. Along the river valleys people have found the basis for their existence and built their communities.
