Cathrin's world

Drop me a line!

Scuba Diving is the best recreation and meditation for me, and a good advise is not to  get me started on this subject... as it might be difficult to stop me again!

It's another world down there! The beauty, diversity, peace and quiet is breathtaking. When you dive you get a chance to study the aquatic animals on close range.

The place to be - Orca

If you are calm in the water and respect the environment, the aquatic life will not pay you much attention, but go ahead with their daily business. I still have had some pretty weird experiences with curious fishes getting real close – and I love it!

It is really amazing what you can find down there, if only you take your time and use your eyes. Even on dive sites you go often, there is always something new to spot!

I am a certified PADI Dive Master. PADI is the worlds biggest organization for recreational diving, and their goal is to get everybody in the water. In one way that is a good thing, as I honestly recommend everybody to scuba dive.

What might be a problem is that some divers have an attitude problem. Too many times I meet  divers who are  picking corals, "riding" on turtles and sharks, and  doing other DON'TS...

The place to be - Project Aware, Koh Tao, Thailand

I have two comments for this:

  • NO FISH EVER TRASHED YOUR HOUSE!
  • RESPECT THE AQUATIC LIFE AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT!

- it could be that the next generations
would like to have a fair chance to experience the same as you do.

Remember: We are just visiting!

I've logged about 400 dives now, and also worked as dive master for Koh Tao Divers / Big Blue Diving Center, Koh Tao, Thailand for 1 year, but I still see/ experience something new on every dive!

If I ever stop enjoying seeing/ experiencing new sea life and "old friends" -  I'll probably stop scuba diving too.
